About Philosofashion
Philosofashion exists at the intersection of thought and form.
We live surrounded by messages designed to be consumed quickly and discarded even faster. Ideas are reduced to slogans. Words are used to persuade, decorate, or coerce.
Philosofashion moves in the opposite direction.
We work with fragments from thinkers whose words were never meant to be simplified. They were written to be contemplated—and, at times, to be resisted. We believe certain texts possess enough weight to stand alone, free from interpretation or commentary.
Each piece features a single phrase, printed without emphasis. Nothing is added; nothing is highlighted. The text is not a message to decipher, but a presence to bear.
The garments are deliberately understated: organic cotton, neutral tones, and silhouettes that do not compete with the words they carry. Here, clothing is not a statement. It is a surface.
The First Edition brings together three voices:
-
Montaigne, who used writing to explore doubt rather than escape it.
-
Voltaire, who distrusted certainty more than error.
-
Simone Weil, who understood attention as an ethical act.
This project is not built around seasons or trends. It unfolds slowly, expanding to include other authors, traditions, and schools of thought—always guided by the same principle:
Wear what you think.
